Day 12, 2024 - Prompt word ‘Remote’
When I think of remote, my mind goes right to an island! For whatever reason, the idea of a Green Sea Turtle bringing together two mangroves that make their own remote island seemed like a beautiful image to me. These beautiful turtles spend their time chilling in some of the most stunning and biodiverse ares of the planet, as long as they can steer clear of the plastic bags and nets that also chill in our oceans…. 10% of sales of this piece go to the Sea Turtle Conservancy- protecting turtles since 1959 and counting.
The Inktober Challenge is what brought black ink & thatching into my life! I have no formal training or education in ink art, I just love to do it. My practice in this medium grows with each piece I make, and I am so grateful for Mother Nature being my muse for most of the prompts each year! Pieces may differ in price according to the time spent on each one.
