PRINT of Day 8, 2023 Inktober - Prompt word ‘toad’
You knoooow I’m making a Toad on an Amanita Mushroom! The American Toad is the star of this piece, as he holds so much value to our eco-systems. While these toads can live up to 10 years old in the wild, the oldest American Toad on record lived to be 36 years old in captivity! Eating up to 1,000 insects a day, these bumpy beauties are so very appreciated.
The Inktober Challenge is what brought black ink & thatching into my life! I have no formal training or education in ink art, I just love to do it. My practice in this medium grows with each piece I make, and I am so grateful for Mother Nature being my muse for most of the prompts each year!
